Kelowna Fit follows a four pillars of health approach: Physical Activity, Hydration, Nutrition and Sleep (PAHNS). Rachel coaches you on how to optimize all 4 of these pillars to reach your health and fitness goals.

Nutrition & Personal TrainINg

Kelowna Fit isn’t just a fitness program. With Rachel’s background and education in diatetics, group class instruction and personal training, she likes to be a PAHNS Coach. Giving you the education and tools to bring all 4 pillars into the proper balance to reach your goals.

Physical Activity (PA): Rachel will take you from a functional movement assessment through body balance, core strengthening, advanced movement, strength and speed, specificty training and finally achieving a high intensity performance level that will exceed your fitness expectations.

Hydration (H): Rachel will educate you on how to maintain proper hydration, what to look out for to tell when you aren’t properly hydrated and how to integrate good hydration into your daily nutrition intake.

Nutrition (N): Program members will have the option of enrolling in our proprietary nutrition program called the 21 Day Transformation. After the transformation, you will be taken on a guided discovery to determine your dietery needs.

Sleep (S): When the first 3 pillars come into balance the 4th pillar tends to automatically fall into place. If not, there are strategies and adjustments to the other pillars that will help to improve the quality and duration of your sleep.

We are a unique group fitness program. Our primary aim is to bring friends and community together around fitness and healthy nutrition in our FREE Fitcew Forum we call The Crew Club. Kelowna is a small, inspiring place with a lot of health conscious, outdoors people that want to get together and participate in fitness activities. We are here to help facilitate mom workout and nutrition groups, family nutrition programs and private friend group (we call fitcrews) workouts. Whether it’s just you and your bestie or a whole crew of friends and family, creating a FREE fitcrew or joining a public one is a great way to get started sharing and exploring the healthy side of Kelowna. This is a journey we are on with our members as well.

Along with the monthly Fit Missions, Rachel will seed your fitcrew with weekly Challenges. These challenges might include intermittent fasting for 7 days, completing a specific hike for time or jogging a distance you are not accustomed to. Complete challenges to win free nutrition coaching and training programs.

Our Strengths

We specialize in hybrid small group instruction. What exactly does hybrid mean? It means that we can see your fitcrew online in a livestream session or in person outdoors. The two principal services we offer for your fitcrews are small group personal training and holistic nutrition.

GROUP TRAINING

Rachel is our principal FIT PRO and specializes in core strength, weight loss, prenatal and postpartum fitness. Her exercise technique is called Cross Functional Training. This style of working out recruits as many muscle groups as possible in each movement to burn the greatest number of calories per minute. Each private group training session is like a personal training appointment. You get the personal attention of a private trainer but pay a boutique fitness class price.

NUTRITION

Obviously good nutrition is an essential factor in reaching your fitness goals. We specialize in focusing on good nutrition in the Okanagan. Our valley provides so many dietary resources that not only nourish our bodies but are delicious too. We will provide you with a great program that focuses on seasonal foods available to us here in Kelowna. We encourage you to make your own meals and utilize food prep strategies to avoid spending all your time in the kitchen giving you more time to do what you love in life.

FITNESS PARTUS

Prenatal and postpartum fitness are a big part of our program. We know that many moms and dads struggle with the changes that happen in their bodies when you have children and their needs come before yours. We are here to navigate those changes and help you be the healthiest parent for your children possible. We live that lifestyle and integrate your fitness activities into your family activities so you can stay healthy and put your kids firts.

Sometimes a new concept can be confusing or intimidating, we hope our community group fitness concept is exciting and intriguing but just in case you have some questions we would like to answer them. You’ll need a name and a theme for your fitcrew. The name should be a fun way to refer to your crew and the theme should be something that keeps you on track. We can help you with both or you can be creative on your own. If you have any questions about forming your fitcrew or finding one to be a part of, please contact us. We are excited to get you started.
